Abstract
Sexual Reproductive Health (SRH) services for adolescent girls has proved to be one of the key
challenge generally in developing countries and particularly in Zimbabwe given the negative and
positive impact of the availability and access of these services to the citizens. This study sought to
understand the effectiveness of sexual reproductive health services in preventing early pregnancies
among adolescent girls in Goromonzi district. The study employed the qualitative research
approach and a case study research design as it sought to solicit lived experiences opinions and
perceptions on the subject. Interviews were done to 10 participants whilst focus groups were three
comprising 10 each. Data was presented using the thematic analysis approach. The major findings
of the research are not effective in the district and barriers such as culture, and gender inequality
are affecting the SRH service access. The major recommendation is that stakeholders should
ensure more awareness are made and barriers are broken to allow the target group to access the services
