    Abstract
The digital divide is the gap between people in society who have full access to digital technologies (such as the internet and computers) and those who do not (UK Parliament , 2020). The digital divide describes the gap between people who have access to affordable, reliable internet service (and the skills and gadgets necessary to take advantage of that access) and those who lack it. The Zimbabwe internet penetration rate grew from 62.8% in 2021 to 65.3% in 2022. That means 65.3% of the population had internet access in 2022. Zimbabwe's mobile phone penetration has now reached a high of 97.5 percent, with a six percent growth in active mobile subscriptions.
